JustMap Foundation

JustMap Foundation (JMF) is an analytical philanthropy that seeks to identify and support underfunded nonprofits that are strategically important to achieving a particular social justice goal, ranging from keeping kids in Boston in school and out of jail to mitigating climate change. We conduct research, provide resources, and support advocacy to change long-term systemic inequities that affect social justice issues. Where other organizations have deeply profiled individual non-profits, we take a landscape approach, putting organizations into a broader context that sometimes reveals that related non-profits are counter-productively competing with one another, collaborating on a common goal without realizing it, or collectively struggling to achieve their goal due to a common obstacle.
