The mission of Eviction Intervention Services is to prevent homelessness. Our mission is accomplished by keeping residents in their communities, preserving existing affordable housing and promoting and supporting the construction of affordable housing for low income families. Our aim is to keep all people, including families with children under the age of 18, senior citizens, the homebound, and the physically/mentally impaired in their own apartment, promoting the safety and security of our neighborhoods. EIS helps to preserve existing affordable housing stock by advocating for and educating tenants , preventing their eviction.
