Development Radiance Organization

Development Radiance Organization (DRO) is a non-governmental organization based in Kagera, Tanzania. Our mission is to empower youth, women, and communities through entrepreneurship, agribusiness, gender equality, and education initiatives, contributing to sustainable development and poverty reduction.

Development Radiance Organization (DRO) is a registered non-governmental organization based in Kagera Region, Tanzania. We are committed to empowering communities, particularly youth and women, to create sustainable livelihoods and foster inclusive development.

Since our establishment, DRO has worked to address key social and economic challenges by providing training, resources, and opportunities that promote equality and growth. In 2024, we successfully conducted gender equality training in schools, reaching 400 students (200 girls and 200 boys), and organized handball competitions to encourage youth participation and inclusion.

Currently, DRO is implementing entrepreneurship and business skills programs targeting households in Muleba, with a special focus on youth and women. We also promote agribusiness initiatives, particularly maize and beans farming, to strengthen food security and create income opportunities for young people.

Our work is guided by values of equity, empowerment, innovation, and sustainability. We believe that through skills development, education, and community-driven initiatives, we can break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for all.
