Lean In Project VA

Lean in Project VA (Lean in Project) was founded in January 2021 out of a need for more inclusive, safe spaces and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ individuals living in Southside Virginia (Halifax, Mecklenburg, Brunswick, and Charlotte Counties). We are a non-profit community-based organization that provides health advocacy and crisis services to LGBTQIA+ folx. We also provide training, consulting, capacity building, and collaborative workshops for community partners and nonprofits.

Our Goals

• Create and sustain a community crisis response system for LGBTQIA+ folx in need
• Provide education and training to community partners around LGBTQIA+ specific needs and barriers
• Form and sustain a collaborative community response to building equity
