SQPA

Founded in 1976, Southern Queens Park Association (SQPA) is one of the leading human services providers in Queens, and aspires to be the premier provider in the City of New York. SQPA is a unique human services agency, which combines its stewardship of the 54-acre Southern Queens–Roy Wilkins Park, with its mission to provide and coordinate comprehensive programs to children, families, adults, and seniors residing in Southeast Queens.

The community organizers and activists who helped secure the park land formed the agency, which is located in the heart of Jamaica, Queens. SQPA carries out its mission at multiple sites by offering the following essential services: basic and continuing education, workforce development, family and individual support services, health and wellness, community organization, social, cultural, and recreational outlets. SQPA actively seeks strategic partnerships and opportunities to strengthen its portfolio, and its ability to serve the unique needs of the communities in and around Southern Queens.
