Founded in 2012, the Global Biological Standards Institute (GBSI) advances life science standards through policy initiatives, thought leadership, and education to enhance global health. To further this mission, GBSI

• Supports greater synergy between emerging biotechnological advances and life science innovations to accelerate lifesaving discoveries
• Engages with the scientific community and the public at large to advance standards across the life sciences
• Advances credible, reproducible, and translatable results in life science research to enhance research productivity and facilitate future biomedical innovation
• Encourages the development and use of standardized biological materials and written, consensus-based standards
• Provides a global, independent forum where committed stakeholders can address life science standards and move toward actionable solutions
