Newport Festivals Foundation

The Newport Festivals Foundation produces both the Newport Jazz and Newport Folk Festivals, held annually in Newport, RI. The Newport Festivals Foundation fosters the legacy and expands the impact of its Festivals through educational initiatives that celebrate innovation while preserving the deep traditions inherent in Jazz and Folk music.

The Director of Finance reports to the Executive Producer and is responsible for the overall management of the financial resources and operations of the institution. This includes overseeing the day-to-day accounting/bookkeeping functions, managing the payroll and treasury functions, and conducting basic financial analysis and preparing quarterly financial reports for the Board of Directors.

The Director of Finance will manage one bookkeeper and regularly coordinate with an outsourced finance control person that supervises the accounting and performs bank reconciliations. The Director will serve as the primary point of contact for all Finance related matters for the Executive Producer and Executive Management Committee of the Board of Directors.
