CANCER ALLIANCE OF NAPLES INC

Cancer Alliance of Naples, a grassroots nonprofit organization, was founded in 2002 by a wonderful group of individuals with whom cancer was familiar territory. Through their recognition of the difficulties that accompany such an experience, the decision was made to combine efforts, ideas and resources and build upon a simple gesture. Neighbors helping neighbors, supporting the community.

* CAN has helped 1200 families with $2.6 million in non-medical financial aid or other support since 2002

* CAN pays rent so cancer survivors and their families won’t be evicted; utilities so they won’t be turned off; car payments so they won’t be repossessed; gas to get to treatment and food so they are strong enough to withstand treatment

* Every dollar raised here stays here and is tax deductible

* CAN does not duplicate the services of any other agency in Collier Co.

* CAN also offers free group counseling, free nutrition programs, college scholarships for graduating seniors who have had cancer or whose parents or siblings have cancer, and an extensive library for anyone in the community to use .
