Old Town Artisan Studios

Nestled in the heart of La Quinta, California, Old Town Artisan Studios (OTAS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering creativity and enriching lives through art. Our sprawling three-acre campus, with its historic 16,000-square-foot facility, is a haven for artistic expression, surrounded by tree-lined gardens, brick patios, and a cascading waterfall that inspire creativity and serenity.

At OTAS, we believe art should be accessible to everyone. Our Outreach Programs lie at the heart of our mission, bringing art to children, adults with special needs, seniors, and veterans through partnerships with schools, senior centers, and local nonprofits. With our innovative Mobile Mission, we extend our reach, delivering art experiences to those who cannot visit us.

Designed by artists for artists, our campus features six state-of-the-art studios, including a pottery studio with rows of wheels and a kiln room with eight professional kilns. The Leland Gallery hosts exhibitions, events, and performances, while the Culinary Arts Center offers a professional kitchen and outdoor patio for special gatherings. Visitors can also explore our retail store, where proceeds from handmade artistic crafts directly support our Outreach Programs.
