Penniman Foundation

The Penniman Foundation is an offshoot of Resources to Inspire Students and Educators, which was founded in 2003 by Paul Penniman to provide the same quality educational resources, such as tutoring and SAT prep, that are available to students of means.

In 2022, Paul Penniman retired from RISE and began the Penniman Foundation, which has continued working with many of the same at-risk youth he worked closely with at RISE. The Penniman Foundation seeks out the students at the most risk (homeless or otherwise with a limited support system) but with also the most promise.

The Penniman Foundation wants to grow to become a leading organization for supporting older youth in progressing from minimum wage-type employment to meaningful, sustainable careers. These youth may or may not be college graduates, dropouts, or matriculants.

Thanks to the mentoring provided by the Penniman Foundation, more than a hundred older youth annually feel confident in their path toward a meaningful, sustainable career.
