Partners in Prevention, Corp

The mission of Partners in Prevention is to reduce ill health and disease within our communities through assistance programs, education, and research. Our programs address social factors that influence health, such as: stress, economic status, work and living conditions. According to the World Health Organization over 250,000 Americans die prematurely every year from a preventative illnesses. Because of their inability to afford proper health care of the course of their life or because of a tragic event their lives were lost. What is even more saddening is that America spends the most money compared to any other country on its health care and yet for every dollar spent $.52 of that goes towards our doctors salaries and the upkeep of our hospitals. Only $.04 goes towards dental care, $.04 towards medical equipment and $.02 towards research. There is something severely disturbing with the ways that are money is being spent.
