Fonkoze

The Fonkoze Family’s vision is a Haiti where people, standing together, shoulder to shoulder, have pulled themselves out of poverty.

Fonkoze is a family of organizations that work together to provide financial and non-financial services to empower Haitians – primarily women – to lift their families out of poverty.

Fonkoze, the founding Fonkoze organization and foundation, located in Haiti, provides non-financial services (like health, education, social performance analysis, and ultra-poor programs) for the clients of Sèvis Finansye Fonkoze or SFF, Haiti's largest micro-finance institution. Fonkoze USA is a U.S. 501(c)3 organization that seeks funding to make grants and loans to its partner organizations – Fonkoze the Foundation and Sèvis Finansye Fonkoze (SFF) – in Haiti. Together, Fonkoze USA, Fonkoze the Foundation, and SFF make up what we call The Fonkoze Family, or simply Fonkoze.

As of 2014, Fonkoze had 46 branches throughout Haiti, 200,000 banking clients (savers), 46,000 micro-loans in the hands of clients, mostly women, 2,000 credit centers, and close to 850 employees.
