Security Council Report

Established in 2005, SCR is an independent think tank with the mission of advancing the transparency, effectiveness and accountability of the UN Security Council.

SCR delivers accurate information, with scrupulous fact-checking; applies its own impartial analysis; and makes its products publicly accessible. SCR also provides expert capacity building for elected members of the Council and other interested stakeholders, and hosts and contributes to forums for in-depth discussion of the Council’s work. SCR’s operations team supports this mission by ensuring the smooth functioning of SCR’s financial, human resources, and administrative systems.
