The Microfinance Gateway

The Microfinance Gateway is the most comprehensive online resource for the global microfinance community. The website features research and publications, original articles, organization and consultant profiles, and the latest industry announcements, news, events, and job opportunities. Our mission is to advance knowledge and encourage innovation within the microfinance industry. We seek to create an interactive platform for knowledge exchange and engagement among our diverse user base, which includes microfinance practitioners, donors, networks, consultants, service providers, academics and policy makers.

The Microfinance Gateway currently holds more than 7,000 documents in its library, over 1,000 organization profiles and over 400 consultant profiles. We encourage users to contribute library documents, announcements, events, and job postings to the site. Users can share their views by rating and reviewing library documents and commenting on news and feature articles called Microfinance Voices.

The Microfinance Gateway has three affiliate language sites, French, Arabic, and Spanish, in association with our regional partners GRET, ADA, Sanabel, and INCAE. These sites share similar features with the English-language Microfinance Gateway, but contain content relevant to the associated region, including profiles of countries with active microfinance sectors in the region.
