National Walk for Epilepsy

Acerca de

Epilepsy is the third most-common neurological condition after alzheimer's disease and stroke, and affects more than three million Americans. Epilepsy is not discriminatory. It can affect anyone, anywhere, at any time. The Epilepsy Foundation works to ensure that people with epilepsy and seizure disorders are able to participate in all life experiences; to improve how people with epilepsy are perceived, accepted and valued in society; and to promote research for a cure.

In 2007, the National Walk for Epilepsy brought more than 5,000 people to the National Mall, and raised one million dollars to increase awareness of the disorder, to eliminate the stigma attached to this condition, and to raise much needed funds for research towards finding a cure. We want you to join our efforts for the 2008 Walk as a volunteer.
