Spero f/k/a Blue Water Pregnancy Care Center

​Women deserve to be equipped with the information and practical help she needs to care for herself during unexpected pregnancy. Spero is a non-profit medical clinic empowering women in the Blue Water Area with factual information about their bodies, pregnancy, and options while providing emotional & practical assistance to those facing unplanned or untimely pregnancies. We offer free & confidential pregnancy tests, ultrasound confirmations, prenatal education, parenting classes, baby items, & community referrals. Supported entirely by donations from concerned and generous individuals, Spero helps nearly 1300 moms, babies and dads each year.

Spero changed their name from Blue Water Pregnancy Care Center in March 2019 to be more inclusive of men and families, because we offer much more than pregnancy care, and to be more distinct from all the other Blue Water Organizations. Spero (pronounced sparrow) is Latin for HOPE, which has been our phone number (810.985.HOPE) for 33+ years and was our inspiration for the change.
