In our 26 years of service to the metro Detroit community, we’ve helped hundreds of people with autism, Down syndrome and other cognitive impairments achieve and maintain independence. Our programs include:
- Independence Prep: a quarterly overnight independent living experience for teens and young adults to get them excited and ready for one day living on their own.
- Family Consulting: family consulting provides families of teens and young adults with personalized plans for helping their students achieve post-high school independence.
- Skill Building Program: providing four skill-building workshops and social activities each week to help adults with developmental disabilities learn the skills necessary to live independently and build healthy relationships.
- Independence College: a two-year residential college-like experience focused on independent living for young adults with developmental disabilities.
- Independent Living Program: providing personalized independent living support to adults with developmental disabilities making the transition to, and maintaining, independent living.
