The association Equi’Sol was created in 1996 and is based in Lyon and Grenoble. Its aim is to promote and to contribute to the development of reliable Fair Trade systems. The association is not operating on the market.
This fair is organised with the help of various participants, and in partnership with the main European Fair Trade organisations like FINE, FLO, NEWS!, EFTA, as well as the European network for local authority procurement ICLEI and a European steering committee. It is supported by the Rhone Alpes regional government, SGAR and the City Counsils of Lyon and Grenoble, as well as by social economy organiations like CRESS, Nef and MACIF.
Other partners include NGOs like AVSF and Respublica and Fair Trade organisations from different European countries: Eine Welt Netz NRW (Germany), Banana Link (UK), Fair Trade Center (Belgium); PFCE, Max Havelaar, Signalethique, Colecosol, l’Epicerie Equitable (France).
