The mission of the Howard County Poetry & Literature Society (HoCoPoLitSo) is to cultivate appreciation for contemporary poetry and literature and celebrate culturally diverse literary heritages.

Founded in 1974 HoCoPoLitSo presents high-caliber innovative live and recorded literary programs for students and adults. HoCoPoLitSo preserves readings by authors, programs, documents and accessibility via HoCoPoLitSo.org
HoCoPoLitSo's The Writing Life, a writer-to-writer talk show, introduces audiences to more than 100 authors and poets.
