LUTHERAN CAMPUS COUNCIL OF SEATTLE

The Sanctuary at The University of Washington is a progressive, LGBTQ+ affirming, justice oriented ministry of the Lutheran (ELCA) and Episcopal (ECUSA) churches to the students at UW. We provide support to students as the figure out who they are and how to live that out in the world through weekly (interfaith/no faith) dinners, worship, giving out free coffee and cookies on campus, immersion trips, and simply by being present with students. Currently, our work is centered around students from the LGBTQ+ community, working with mental health issues, and working for justice and equity on campus and in the greater community.
