Sahasra Deepika Foundation for Education

Sahasra Deepika Foundation for Education, established in 1998, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enabling impoverished children in Bangalore, India the chance to succeed through education. This will be accomplished via: A residential home for selected impoverished children; Provision of education for each child through high school, and assistance with placement for higher studies; Partnerships with local educators, business and community leaders to provide resources and mentoring; Enrichment and outreach programs for children in the larger community; Pooling the talents and resources of a dedicated network of volunteers from the U.S.A. and India to enrich student's educational and personal experiences. Students will be encouraged to develop their intellectual, social and academic potential for self-empowerment and contribution to the community at large.
