Somerville Homeless Coalition

The mission of the Somerville Homeless Coalition (SHC) is to recognize each person's right to be respected, to be treated with dignity and to be provided with the basic human need for shelter, food, clothing and medical care. Beyond these services, the SHC also provides resources and incentives to empower homeless men, women and children to become self-sufficient members of their community through a comprehensive educational program, counseling, employment opportunities, housing search, daily living skills training, nutrition training and support, and other necessary services that meet individual needs.
