The Hope Foundation

The Hope Foundation is an Irish, UK & German registered charity working for the street children of Calcutta. We have been in operation since 1999, running over 60 projects and reaching out to hundreds of thousands of street children and vulnerable adults. We strive to achieve sustainable development and the restoration of human rights among poor communities in Calcutta, emphasizing the importance of the education of children, the health of women and children, child nutrition and development, drugs rehabilitation for young people and vocational training for adolescents. We visualize a just and equitable society, where all people can live a quality life in dignity.

We welcome volunteers throughout the year and endeavor to match those wishing to volunteer with their interests and the needs of our projects. Alongside this we facilitate a number of fundraising events throughout the developed world to raise much needed funds to tackle the vicious cycle of poverty faced by street and slum children throughout Calcutta.
