YMCA of Northwest Florida Reach and Rise Mentoring Program

The YMCA of Northwest Florida is now participating in the Reach & Rise Mentoring Program, designed for youth ages 6-17 who lack role models and live in communities challenged by poverty, crime, truancy, and single-parent households, among other social issues.

Mentors must be 21 years old; complete a fingerprint security screening and 15 hours of training; have a clean DMV record and valid auto liability insurance (if driving mentee); and commit to spending 1-3 hours a week with a mentee for at least one year.

    Through the program, volunteer mentors are matched with a young person for one year to provide one-on-one services and create safe, healthy and meaningful relationships. The program is actively recruiting mentors who will share time and guidance to make a difference in a young person’s life.
