In 2009 Google made a profit of over $4 Billion on one product - AdSense. They were able to do so mostly because they were the market for internet advertising. They spent the money on buying other compaines and creating a competitor for the iPhone. In terms of cost vs. potential profit the internet advertising market is the single most profitable business in the world. Can you think of a better use for $4 Billion? We believe the market should be publicly owned and profits should go to improve the world from the bottom up by improving our environment, health, and education.
