The New Teacher Project (TNTP) has partnered with the Baltimore City Public School System (BCPSS) to run a Practitioner Teacher Program (PTP) designed to certify talented professionals teaching in hard-to-staff positions in BCPSS through the Baltimore City Teaching Residency. Participants in the Residency Program, or “Residents”, undergo a rigorous selection process and train in an intensive pre-service program before participating in a year-long content seminar series as they work toward their certification.
