International Action Network for Gender Equity & Law (IANGEL)

Powering Gender Justice Globally

Founded in 2013, the International Action Network for Gender Equity & Law (IANGEL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to harnessing the power of pro bono legal services and connecting it to projects to defend and advance the rights of women and girls around the world. Led by women lawyers and activists, IANGEL is uniquely resourceful, using connections, creativity, and pro bono resources to fight injustice with empowerment, and to build a world of equality, justice, and peace.

IANGEL advances its mission through education, advocacy, and facilitating the engagement of pro bono lawyers in projects to advance gender equity. We are a force multiplier, creating new power by building our network with other advocates and NGOs working for gender equality, coordinating projects with a diverse range of activists, and connecting resources to the need. In this way, IANGEL strengthens the global movement to advance gender justice locally, nationally, and globally.
