Misión

We began as worried individuals, helping out the local street dogs of Taghazout. Four years later and we are a team of volunteers, rescuing and rehabilitating over 60 animals. Morocco Animal Aid is a community projects supporting the local animal welfare charities, associations and care providers. Any funds generated are spent on providing care and medicines for the benefit of the animals. Every year the street animals here in Morocco suffer. They have no homes so are exposed to every element, they have no regular access to clean water or food. Parasites are everywhere and spread disease and the population continues to expand. We need to help them, and with help from you, we can. We believe the we can make a difference.

Our organisation rescues and re-homes animals from the areas Anza through to Taghazout. We run sterilisation and vaccination programs while responding to all emergency call outs, mostly due to road traffic accidents and fatal virus's.

We are based in Assersif, 3.7kms from Aourir beach. About an hours walk (35/40mins at pace).

We are a new, volunteer organisation in the process of official registration.

You will experience the hardships of the animals of the area.

You would be welcomed to come and assist in any emergency call outs and come along to collect animals in the sterilisation and vaccination program.

The area of Assersif is a genuine berber village with no frills. The closest town with shops is Aourir.

Assersif a beautiful, tranquil village only a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Taghazout, Morocco's most famous surf village.
