Ruff Lessons Rescue & Rehabilitation is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need while forging life-changing bonds between these animals and individuals who have faced severe challenges. We specialize in pairing our rehabilitated dogs with survivors of human exploitation, domestic abuse, psychological trauma, and those battling post-traumatic stress, fostering mutual healing and resilience for both the dogs and the people they support.

What is the story behind your organization?

Ruff Lessons Rescue & Rehabilitation was inspired by the founder’s journey through traumas that could have broken even the strongest of people. In a moment of desperate need, the unconditional love of a rescue dog offered not only a path to healing but also a renewed sense of purpose. This transformative experience led to the creation of an organization dedicated to saving two lives with every match: the life of a dog in need of rescue and the life of a person in need of healing. By bringing them together, Ruff Lessons fosters powerful partnerships that offer hope, healing, and a chance to rediscover purpose for both.
