GO Fund (Global Opportunity Fund)

The mission of the GO Fund (Global Opportunity Fund) is to provide opportunities for women and children in Africa to lift themselves permanently out of poverty.

STRATEGY We believe that in order for our work to be truly sustainable we must enable women in Africa to Learn, Earn, Thrive and Survive. We call this unique program strategy – “L.E.T.S GO!” This model informs every program we design and implement and ensures that our work alleviates poverty in a sustainable way.

METHOD Our method is to implement GO Fund programs through local, indigenous partner organizations, which, in turn, builds their capacity to serve their communities in a strategic and cost-effective manner. By providing technical, operational and financial training to our local partners, the GO Fund strives to achieve long-term sustainability of its programs, so that women and children get the support they need, regardless of outside resources.

COMMITMENT Our commitment is to serve the poorest of the poor. The GO Fund designs low-cost interventions that have large-scale impacts for vulnerable women and children in Africa. By collaborating with local partners and teaching women how to be economically self-sufficient, the GO Fund breaks the detrimental cycle of poverty in Africa in an exceptionally cost-effective way.
