The mission of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association(SCAA)is to prevent loss of life from sudden cardiac arrest. To achieve this mission, SCAA actively involves survivors of cardiac arrest, their families, friends, medical professionals and emergency care providers and others around the United States interested in raising awareness about sudden cardiac arrest and in implementing programs to halt its devastating impact. SCAA also actively supports public policy changes at the national, state and local levels to promote access to emergency care and to remove barriers to use of AEDs and other life-saving therapies.
