University of Minnesota Upward Bound, located within U of M's General College, is a federally funded, equal opportunity, college preparatory for low-income and/or educationally disadvantaged high school students. Upward Bound (UB) works with students on a long-term and intensive basis. The mission is to provide academic guidance and support through supplemental instruction, tutoring, academic counseling and informational sessions about college entrance to targeted students to ensure success in college matriculation and graduation.
