Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin

Since our establishment in 1982, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin has remained committed to its mission: To feed the hungry in Wisconsin by obtaining food and related products, distributing them to qualified non-profit programs and providing those programs with appropriate assistance. Started by the Rotary Club and an initial donation of six bushels of apples, Feeding America was created in order to alleviate the growing problem of hunger. Now 30 years later, we have made significant progress towards that goal. Today our organization feeds 330,000 individuals through its multiple collaborations with over 1,000 local agencies. This amounts to over 23 million pounds of food collected throughout the 36 counties that we serve, making us the largest nonprofit food distributor in the state. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin has constantly worked towards its goal of ensuring that a nutritious meal or bag of groceries is never far from those in need.
