The Peregrine Fund's World Center for Birds of Prey

  • Misión

To conserve birds of prey worldwide.

    Acerca de

The Peregrine Fund was founded in 1970 by Professor Tom Cade at Cornell University to help save the Peregrine Falcon from the brink of extinction.

In 1984, The Peregrine Fund consolidated its operations and established the World Center for Birds of Prey on a scenic hilltop in Boise, Idaho. The 580-acre campus consists of the:

    • Business offices of The Peregrine Fund
    • Breeding facilities for endangered birds of prey
    • Velma Morrison Interpretive Center
    • Herrick Collections Building, which houses:
      • Research Library
      • The Archives of Falconry

The Peregrine Fund is actively involved in conservation worldwide in North America, Neotropics, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific. At the Interpretive Center we aim to share past and present programs in order to inspire the public to look towards the future of birds of prey species.
