The Foundation for Democracy and Justice, a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to promoting the principles of democracy through education. By providing leadership in civic engagement and civics education, the goal of the Foundation is to educate the public about the roles, responsibilities and goals of the judicial, legislative and executive branches of government, with an emphasis on the need for an impartial and effective judiciary. Through these efforts, the Foundation seeks to increase awareness about the relationship between adequate state funding for the administration of justice – at the state and local level – and the ability to deliver equal access to justice for all.
