MERIT Health Leadership Academy

MERIT Health Leadership Academy is a non-profit organization that educates and empowers students from underrepresented backgrounds to become health professionals and change agents. We currently serve over 200 Baltimore City youth, ages 14-22. MERIT's longitudinal program consists of Saturday courses, summer internships, intensive mentoring, and continued support in college. Over the past six years, 100% of MERIT Scholars have been accepted to 4-year universities. This years senior class earned $9.2 million in scholarships after increasing their SAT scores by 248 points.
