The focus of Rang De Foundation USA will be to identify microprojects that will promote the general welfare of impoverished individuals, groups and communities. This will involve funding grants to qualified projects such as water improvement, education or school program grants, individual microbusiness creation or expansion, agricultural improvement funding, et cetera.
In the beginning, Rang De Foundation USA will focus on funding micro projects in India because we collaborate with Rang De India (rangde.org) who will help us identify feasible projects to fund.
As opportunities arise for microfinance, we will pursue those outside of India, primarily in the US. The Indian government does not allow money to flow back out of India.
