Crimestoppers, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 non-profit which works in cooperation with local law enforcement, media and the general public to solve and prevent crimes in the parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Plaquemines and St. James.
Since 1981, Crimestoppers has utilized a 24-hour anonymous crime tip hot line. Since its inception, Crimestoppers has assisted law enforcement to solve over 9,000 felony crimes and has paid out over $1,300,000 in cash rewards to callers. Crimestoppers, Inc. is a member of Crime Stoppers International and Crime Stoppers USA.
