YES-Europe (Young leaders in Energy and Sustainability)

History: 

YES-Europe is an initiative that started in 2016 at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, whose aim is to create a community of young leaders consisting of students and young professionals across Europe.

What we do?

YES-Europe organises events such as annual conferences, which took place in Madrid, The Hague, Berlin in the last years as well as regional events as energy lab visits, meetings with the industry or public events. We also organise several online events. In 2020 for instance, we organised a 300 participants Climathon and a 3-day Summer camp on the Green Deal and Carbon pricing. In addition to events, we share knowledge to expand the understanding and spread the awareness about climate change by publishing reports and organising webinars.

How we work?

Our organization has one one die a European team responsible for the strategy and management of the NGO and on the other side country teams which organise local events and initiatives. We want our NGO to be a platform for everyone to grow and to have a positive impact and so encourage personal initiatives.
