Career Connections AmeriCorps

Career Connections AmeriCorps (CCA) collaborates with local workforce agencies to serve youth and young adults in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Career Connection AmeriCorps Members have the opportunity to create positive community change, obtain funds for education, and explore a career in workforce development or youth services while receiving targeted professional development.

CCA places Members at partnering community-based organizations that provide pathways to opportunity for young people entering the workforce. As part of AmeriCorps, CCA Members commit to a full-time (40 hours/week) year of service, becoming an essential part of host site staff. They will provide professional support to young people that might include skills assessment, resume writing, application completion, interview skills, on-the-job expectations, career planning, conflict resolution, honoring diversity, and more. Members may also work with local small businesses and corporations to identify placement opportunities for job seekers.
