The Recreation Project

  • Acerca de

Our mission is to prepare young people in Uganda to thrive through outdoor adventure and transformative play. Founded in 2010 in the wake of a decades long civil war in Northern Uganda to rehabilitate child soldiers returning home, The Recreation Project has become a symbolic place of healing and hope for a now rapidly growing region. We now serve a diverse range of youth from children in conflict with the law to students attending the best schools in the region. TRP integrates a 12-module life skills and social and emotional education curriculum curriculum into enrichment programs for children and youth that use outdoor adventure and play to build self-esteem, relationships, resilience, and more!
