Helping Hands was founded in November 2012 by a group of friends from Santa Ana, CA with a goal to give back to the community and to remember where we came from. We all grew up in Santa Ana and went to Saddleback High School. Each one of us has a memory of a mentor, coach, friend, or relative that either gave us advice, direction, coaching, or a helping hand. We drive to pay it back and pay it forward. We never forget where we come from and drive to enrich others futures.
We fundraise throughout the year in preparation for our Easter BBQ, Back to School Tennis Shoes Project, Thanksgiving Food Drive, and Christmas Toy Drive. We work to assist "at-risk youth" that attend the after-school program at the Santa Ana Police Athletic & Activity League and their families. We try to reach as many families as possible, with food and toy drives, Easter BBQ's, and Back to School Projects, to try and offset the financial burden, especially in this high risk and low-income area of Santa Ana. Since our start in 2012, we have worked with the Santa Ana Police Athletic and Activities League to try to help kids participate in as many activities that they normally could not due to financial hardships. We try to make a difference and hope to increase our outreach in 2018, and well into the future. We have set our goals and with your help, we will drive to surpass them.
