Foundation for Learning and Youth Travel Education

The Foundation for Learning and Youth Travel Education, or FLYTE, is a nonprofit agency providing funding, teacher support, and itinerary and trip planning for high school students in underserved communities to travel and expand their cultural, academic, and social horizons. We partner with school districts and teachers o foster a commitment to international education for young people that will promote cross-cultural understanding, develop interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of global awareness and participation.

We make travel accessible to youth who would not otherwise get the chance to go abroad. We hope to empower young people to venture out and gain understanding of the human condition through exposure to a diversity of experiences and relationships. FLYTE believes in the goal of that every child, regardless of income, should be able to benefit from seeing the world.

We hope to create a foundation; one that inspires students to seek new experiences, encourages them to engage as global citizens, and instills in them the idea that the world is so much bigger than the community from which you come!
