Eco Caminhos

We aim to be a living example in Brazil and beyond of how social development and ecological regeneration can grow together.

Our purpose is to live in harmony with nature while restoring the land’s fertility, biodiversity and beauty. We produce part of our own food and energy, treat our waste on site, and develop sustainable building and farming systems.

A central part of our mission is education and inclusion. We create learning opportunities for young people and participants from diverse backgrounds through practical experience, community life and shared responsibility.

By welcoming visitors, students and volunteers, we promote awareness and real-life learning about sustainable living and collective care.

Eco Caminhos is a self-sustaining ecological farm located in the Atlantic Forest mountains near Nova Friburgo, Brazil.

We host an international community where people can experience a simpler and more conscious way of living, away from the pressures of urban life.

Our daily activities are based on permaculture principles and include agroforestry, natural building (bioconstruction), food production and renewable energy systems. Learning happens mainly through hands-on participation, collaboration and community routines.

Beyond work activities, community life is an essential part of the experience. Participants share meals, cultural exchange, language learning, and outdoor experiences such as hiking and visiting waterfalls. Portuguese classes and interaction with local residents support cultural integration and mutual learning.

Eco Caminhos is not only a place to visit, but a space to practice sustainable living together.
