The Afara Collective

The Afara Collective is a US-based non-profit organization that exists to create an actionable, practical, and sustainable anti-racism platform that leads with a multicultural and collaborative approach and emphasizes personal growth and development.

Vision:  Empathy in Action

Mission:  To dismantle personal bias through education and the sharing of lived experiences

Purpose: To make anti-racism a daily practice

We plan to implement our work in three ways;

Education - Afara develop and deliver unique and varied education programs, offered both in-person and online, that will encourage individuals to dismantle their personal biases

Empowerment - Afara empower individuals to challenge discrimination and overt bias through the development of unique tools and resources that can be used in multiple scenarios to give individuals the confidence to act

Community - Afara create a community space that allows individuals to connect with a diverse group of people to encourage the sharing of lived experiences, sustain empathetic connection and advocate for daily action against injustice and discrimination
