Sierra Senior Services

Sierra Senior Services, serving at-risk individuals 60 years of age or older in the Truckee/North Lake Tahoe area since 2001, provides home-delivered meals by caring and dedicated community volunteers Monday through Friday. Volunteers bring food and friendship along with a daily wellness check to isolated seniors. There is also a community dining option in Truckee for those seniors who are mobile.

Meals on Wheels is a contribution program for individuals who are 60 years of age or older and who have diminished capacity in at least two of the following areas:  walking, transferring, standing, bathing, dressing, preparing a meal or mental competency, are eligible to participate.
