Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Our mission is to save tropical plant diversity by exploring, explaining and conserving the world of tropical plants; fundamental to this task is inspiring a greater knowledge and love for plants and gardening so that all can enjoy the beauty and bounty of the tropical world. Today, Fairchild Tropical Garden is a leading institution focused on conserving the world of tropical plants. With each exhibit, we enrich the lives of our communities through exploring, explaining and conserving the world of tropical plants. Conservation actions taken by our Center for Tropical Plant Conservation and displayed by the Living Collection and Garden Landscapes are interpreted for an audience of all ages by our Center for Teaching and Learning. The educational programs and projects at Fairchild engage more than 45,000 students and teachers, providing an arena that inspires a diverse audience and empowers them to chart new and optimistic futures.
