DC National Organization for Women

NOW is the largest, most comprehensive feminist advocacy group in the United States with hundreds of thousands of contributing members and hundreds of state and local chapters across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Our mission is to bring women into full participation in society – sharing equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities with men, while living free from discrimination. DC NOW works to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and girls - with a focus on the District of Columbia. DC NOW endorses feminist-allies on the DC Council and has helped pass the Access to Contraceptives Amendment Act and Protecting Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. We advocate for sexual assault prevention in the Metro Police Department and work with feminist partners such as Collective Action for Safe Spaces (CASS) to move our agenda forward. Join this dynamic organization today!
