Urban Solutions

Urban Solutions is an economic development nonprofit whose mission is to foster the well-being of disadvantaged communities by helping to increase neighborhood commercial vitality, strengthen small businesses, create jobs and encourage diversity. Founded in 1992 Urban Solutions serves neighborhoods throughout San Francisco.

We are dedicated to improving the lives of business owners and residents by providing direct services to businesses and job opportunities to local residents. The following objectives guide our approach to economic development:

Stabilizing, retaining, and expanding small businesses through technical assistance and business loan programs; creating job opportunities through enterprise development; and enhancing neighborhood identity through community-building programs.
