Students 2 Science’s mission is to inspire and empower all students through hands-on learning experiences, encouraging them to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to strengthen the future workforce. Through Students 2 Science’s STEM programs, students will build a greater understanding of STEM, enhance technical skills, and be provided with information and guidance on STEM education and career pathways. Upon completion of the S2S pre-apprenticeship program, you will receive a certificate of completion along with being provided support to connect with an apprenticeship program, employment and/or higher education.

Our Vision

We will ensure that all students in the state of New Jersey will have access to STEM learning opportunities and career pathways.

• Expand our programs to impact 450,000 students annually.
• Operate 3-5 Technology Centers in target areas.
• Develop curriculum in alignment to the future workforce of the state.
• Provide opportunities for students to explore and define their STEM career and education pathways.

Our Impact

Individuals

There are over 500,000 students in New Jersey in need of education support, especially in STEM content areas.

• S2S is committed to expanding STEM Access for all students in New Jersey and providing them with hands-on, immersive experiences using state-of-the-art instrumentation. To date, S2S programs have served over 244,000 students.

Communities

Many of our students are from communities in need that lack access to content experts, resources, and facilities essential for high-quality STEM education.

• S2S provides students with critical skills and mentoring to inspire them to pursue in-demand 21st century careers, which can in turn empower entire communities.

Economy

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, STEM jobs are projected to grow at a rate of 10.4% between 2023 and 2033, almost three times faster than non-STEM jobs. Without initiatives from organizations like S2S, many of these lucrative jobs would go unfulfilled.
